Project Award - Project Award is Tentatively Scheduled for Consideration by the Village Board at Their January 16, 2025 at 5:00 P.m. Meeting. The Work is Intended to Provide Exterior Facade and Roof Modifications to Aesthetically Resemble the New Windsor Municipal Building Currently Being Constructed on the Same Site Just to the East of the Existing Post Office Building. The Existing Post Office Building is Roughly 1,200 Sf in Footprint Area With Load Bearing Masonry Walls and Concrete Brick Veneer and Flat Roof. Work Will Primarily Be Exterior in Nature. Interior Work Shall Be Limited to Providing a New Attic Access Location and Providing Replacement Window Sills. Exterior Work Shall Include Replacement of All Existing Doors and Windows With New Energy Efficient Doors and Windows. The Existing Facility is a Wood Frame Flat Roof With Epdm Finish Over Prior Asphaltic Built-up Membrane Roof. Existing Roofing Finishes Will Be Removed Down to Existing Wood Deck. All Bidders Are Encouraged to Attend. Bid Rejection - the Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, Waive Any Informalities in Bidding or to Accept the Bid or Bids Which Best Serves the Interests of the Village of Windsor. Withdrawal of Bids - No Bid Shall Be Withdrawn for a Period of 45-days After the Scheduled Opening Without the Consent of the Owner. Bid Security - No Bid Shall Be Received Unless Accompanied by a Certified Check or Satisfactory Bid Bond Payable to the Village of Windsor in an Amount Not Less Than 5% of the Maximum Bid as a Guaran tee That, if the Bid is Accepted, the Bidder Will Execute and File the Contract, Performance/ Payment Bonds and Insurance Certification, as Required by the Contract Documents, Within Ten (10) Days After the Notice of Award. New Wood Truss Roof Will Be Installed Over the Existing Wood Deck. New Attic Insulation Will Be Provided and New Roof Finish Will Be a Standing Seam Metal Roof. Exterior Work Will Also Include Installation of Extruded Aluminum Siding in Select Locations as Shown on the Working Drawings. The Intent is That All Exterior Finishes Will Match the Adjacent Municipal Building Currently Being Constructed. All Site Work Related to This Project Shall Be Provided as Part of the Municipal Building Work. New Rain Gutters and Downspouts Shall Be Installed as Part of the Work Under This Contract. Connection of the Downspouts to the Existing Storm Water System Shall Be Part of the Municipal Building Work Under Separate Contract.
