The City of North Kansas City is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced engineering firms to provide On-Call General Engineering Services to support City staff across various engineering disciplines. The selected firm will assist with capital improvement projects (CIPs), including preparing detailed engineering plans and construction specifications for transportation, street design, water distribution, sanitary sewer, stormwater management, structural engineering, and more. Services will also encompass consultation and attendance at meetings to advise City representatives, development of bid and construction documents for projects such as municipal park maintenance, traffic studies, water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, structural and electrical engineering, architectural planning, and land surveying. Firms will perform comprehensive plan reviews for compliance with City codes, APWA, AWWA, MUTCD, and PROWAG standards, including analysis of development plans related to traffic, environmental impact, hydrogeology, and ADA site design. Additional responsibilities include bid administration, construction management, inspection services, and providing expert engineering advice on various City projects.
