Community Development Block Grant Consultant Location: Village Hall, 16 River St,, Fort Plain, NY 13339 Contract term: Two Year Contract This project will focus on addressing the issues raised by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation in issuing a Consent Order, directing that improvements be made to the Village sewer system. To address these problems, sewer lines along Douglass, Hancock, Clinton, West, Clinton, Henry, Main, Clyde, Washington, River, Lydius, Mohawk, Center and Home Streets are being replaced or re-lined using trenchless sewer lining technology. This will repair the lines, prevent leakage of ground water into the sanitary sewer system, and prevent the sewer lines from leaking sewage and contaminating the ground water. The total cost of the project is $1,505,000, and is to be provided by $1,500,000 in CDBG funds and $5,000 in Village funds.. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
