Site work and outdoor lighting for a road / highway in Missoula, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for outdoor lighting for a road / highway.
Bitterroot Trail Lighting project No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the public bid opening. The project is funded by the Missoula Redevelopment Agency and is subject to all applicable state and local regulations as indicated within the specifications. All work must be substantially complete within seven (7) calendar months after the commencement date stated in the notice to proceed. The site of the work is located along the existing Bitterroot Branch Trail between the eastern approach to the Reserve Street Pedestrian Bridge and the intersection between the Bitterroot Branch Trail and the Milwaukee Trail. Work generally includes installing approximately 2.64 miles of trail lighting consisting of approximately 182 light pole footings, approximately 182 light poles and luminaires, surface restoration, surveying/staking, and related work in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond payable to the City of Missoula, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish approved Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, along with required Insurance coverage. Contractor and any of the Contractor s subcontractors doing work on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) except as listed in MCA 39-9-211. Information on registration can be obtained from the Department of Labor and Industry by calling 1-406-444-7734. Contractor is required to have registered with DLI prior to bidding on this project. Successful contractors and vendors are required to comply with City of Missoula business licensing requirements. All laborers and mechanics employed by Contractor or subcontractors in performance of this construction work shall be paid wages at rates as set out in the bid proposal.
