Rockwall ISD is requesting proposals for the screening & recoating of wood athletic floors throughout the district. The term of this quote shall be for 3 years. The district typically has the screen & recoat work completed once per year in the summer. However, if court conditions require more frequent screen & recoats it shall be the intent of this request that the vendor honor the same pricing submitted per location if work is requested more than once per year. John King Blvd, Rockwall TX 75032 19,025 o A site verification walk is recommended. o It is the intention of the district to award the project to one vendor, however, the district reserves the right to award multiple vendors if necessary in the best interest of the district. Prior to commencing work vendor shall deliver new unopened finish product containers to each campus in quantity to be used at each site based on square feet of campus and coverage rate of the product per the manufacturer's requirements. District's authorized representative shall sign and number containers. Vendor shall keep all used and/or unopened containers onsite for district to observe at time of finish inspection as outlined below. SCREENING The successful vendor shall screen all wooden gym floor areas using a multi-directional orbital sanding machine using an abrasive screen disc to minimize one-directional sanding marks. Abrade with abrasive disc screens, grit density as required by manufacturer. Grit shall be no courser than 120#. Then, Tack-rag with solvent or water per the finish manufacturers requirements and let dry for thirty (30) minutes to insure solvent or water has evaporated completely.
