Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Leandro, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

“The owner has determined a prequalified list of design build companies. In accordance with its Notice of Request for Prequalification of Design-Build Entities, the County of Alameda ("County") hereby gives notice it is requesting qualifications for Design- Build services, and that the County has determined that all Design-Build Entities must be prequalified. The Work includes but is not limited to, the design, site preparation, and construction of projects identified in a 2018/2019 Facility Conditions Assessment (FCA) performed by Cannon Design, to remediate the deficiencies within the existing facilities owned by the County of Alameda. Projects for Design-Build Bid Package #3 are: Alameda County Health (ACH) Facilities Behavioral Health Department (ACH-BHD) Willow Rock: Building A (A1, A2, A3, and A4), B, C, and D. Villa Fairmont The estimated project construction costs for Design-Build Package #3, including Design-Build Architect/Engineering Fees, for building, site work, and Owner Allowance(s) is approximately $15,000,000. The County intends to prequalify the three (3) highest-ranked Design-Build Entities in Step 1. These Design-Build Entities will be allowed to participate in Step 2. The County intends to award the contract on a Best Value Basis. Submit Prequalification Questionnaire January 17th, 2025, 3:00 pm Design June 2025 - December 2025 Construction December 2025 - May 2027 The County reserves the right to accept prequalification applications despite minor irregularities and omissions in the information that would otherwise serve to disqualify a Design-Build Entity. The County reserves the right to make all final prequalification determinations and to determine at any time that the prequalification procedures will not be applied to the Project. The County reserves the right to adjust, increase, limit, suspend, or rescind a Design-Build Entity's prequalification rating based on subsequently learned information. Design-Build Entities whose rating changes sufficient to disqualify them will be notified and given an opportunity for a hearing consistent with the hearing procedures described herein for appealing an initial prequalification determination.
