Reference Number 0000370432 The City of Highland, in the County of San Bernardino, proposes to construct 1 mile of new Class II and Class III bicycle lanes along streets in Highland. The purpose of this project is to improve safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and the motorized public. All work would be within City right of way. This project involves removal of asphalt concrete pavement, signage, striping, and construction of PCC curbs, gutters, ADA accessible curb ramps, asphalt concrete pavement within the City of Highland, in the County of San Bernardino, California. The DBE contract goal for this project is 15%. Engineer's Estimate is $826,000 No bid will be considered unless it is made on a proposal form furnished by the City Engineer. All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by cash or a check payable to the City of Highland, certified by a responsible bank, for an amount which shall not be less than ten percent ( 10%) of the grand total bid or by a bond for the amount over and above all statutory exemptions, or by a bond of an accredited surety company. The check or bond will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder refuses to enter into a contract within ten( 10) working days following receipt of the contract from the City. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a labor and materials bond and a faithful performance bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent ( 100%) of the contract price, such bonds to be secured by a surety company or surety companies satisfactory to the City Council of the City of Highland.
