The Division of Purchasing is neither the issuing or conducting procurement unit for this solicitation, as such it is the vendor's responsibility to review the entire solicitation in order to comply with any requirements. South Weber City invites proposals from qualified service providers for the collection and processing of recyclable materials for residential customers. The contract will commence on July 1, 2025, with an initial term of three years and options for renewal based on performance and mutual agreement. The goal is to implement efficient, environmentally responsible, and cost-effective recycling services for residents in compliance with state and local regulations based on actions taken by the Wasatch Integrated Waste Management District's Board of Directors. 3. Scope of Work Required Services: 1. Residential Recycling Collection: o Biweekly curbside collection of recyclable materials from 90-gallon containers. Contractor Responsibilities: o Recycling Processing: o Transport and deliver collected recyclables to a licensed processing facility compliant with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. o Customer Compliance Monitoring: o Identify and address contamination in recycling containers, notify noncompliant customers, and maintain a log of incidents for City review. o Customer Education: o Provide outreach materials to educate residents on acceptable recycling practices and reduce contamination rates. o Local Office and Service: o Maintain a local office to address customer inquiries and complaints. All complaints must be resolved within 24 hours of receipt. o Service Area Expansion: o Include new residential developments and additional service locations as they are established within City limits.
