The City of Fresno encourages all prime Contractors to utilize qualified SBE (Small Business Enterprise) sub-Contractors on the City of Fresno projects and promotes the direct purchase of goods from qualified SBEs by utilizing SBE/DBE vendors when such vendors are available, and the price of the goods or services sought is reasonable. A 100 percent Payment Bond and 100 percent Performance Bond for all public works contracts must be filed with the Contract Documents and approved by the City before the Contractor enters upon performance of the Work. The scope of work for the FAX Steam Bay Renovation project will update a partially operable maintenance lift replacing it with a surface mounted lift as well as backfilling the existing lift and pit to make the bay working area a continuous surface, removing existing steps in the work area.
