25th Street Improvements Question Deadline 01/02/2025 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Contact information and submittal procedures for such questions are as follows: A. Email Engineer at: ascharf@cooperengineering.net Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The Project Consists of: Pulverizing and Relaying Existing Asphalt Pavement, Paving, Shouldering, Culvert Replacement, Minor Reconstruction With Curb and Gutter, Storm Sewer and All Incidental Items Necessary to Complete the Work as Shown on the Plans and Included in the Proposal and Contract. Bids Will Be Received for a Single Prime Contract. Bids Shall Be on a Unit Price Basis. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The bid proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum bid price, payable to Town of Lorain, as a guarantee that the bidder, if bid is accepted, will execute and file the proper contract and 100 percent performance and payment bonds within 15 days after the Notice of Award. In case the Bidder fails to file such contract and required bonds, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to Town of Lorain as liquidated damages. Letting of contracts will be subject to Section 66.0901 Wisconsin Statutes, Public Works, Contracts, and Bids. Town of Lorain reserves the right to waive any formalities in the preparation of a bid and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the scheduled time of bid opening. Document notes And May Obtain Copies of the Bidding Documents From the Issuing Office as Described Below. Printed Copies of the Bidding Documents May Be Obtained From the Issuing Office, During the Hours Indicated Above, Upon Payment of a Nonrefundable Fee of $75.00 for Each Set. Checks for Bidding Documents Shall Be Payable to Cooper Engineering Company, Inc. And Sent to 2600 College Drive, P.o. Box 230, Rice Lake, Wisconsin 54868 Upon Request and Receipt of the Document Payment Indicated Above, the Issuing Office Will Transmit the Bidding Documents via Delivery Service.
