This segment of the Powhite Parkway Phase 1 improvements will construct a bridge over the future Powhite Parkway, connecting Watermill Parkway (south) to Old Hundred Road (north). This segment will connect to the Powhite over Tomahawk Creek segment to the west, the Center Pointe Parkway Extension to the north and the Powhite at Brandermill Parkway segment to the east. Note the following critical details: The Center Pointe Parkway Extension must be completed ahead of this segment's completion. The Center Pointe Parkway Extension creates a critical new connection to the east. It connects to St. Francis Hospital, Lucks Lane, Charter Colony and Route 288. The ultimate bridge configuration removes access to Powhite Parkway. Residents will either access Powhite Parkway via Woolridge Road or will utilize the new Center Pointe Parkway Extension. As of March 17, 2026, this project is in the design phase. Construction is expected to begin the summer or fall of 2026.
