Bids will be accepted until the specified opening time and date. All bids must be checked in by the School District office prior to bid time. Any bidder attempting to deliver after the opening time and date will be refused. This project consists of fabrication and installation of new grandstand bleachers and foundation. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis. All bids must be accompanied by a bank check, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond payable to the Owner for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. A pre-bid conference will not be held but contractors are encouraged to visit the site to become familiar with the area and project requirements. Please contact the Engineer for the project location specifics. The CONTRACTOR must comply with all requirements of the Department of Labor, State of Illinois, and must pay the prevailing wage rate on this project as determined by the Department of Labor or the Owner. Bidders may obtain wage determinations from the Illinois Department of Labor's website. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The Lena-Winslow School District #202 reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Lena-Winslow School District #202 for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids.
