The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to furnish and deliver prestressed members for Rte 712 in Rockbridge County, in the Staunton District of the Virginia Department of Transportation, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, in accordance with the specifications contained herein during the contract period. Work Location: The jobsite on Wades Road in Rockbridge Baths, VA 24473 (37.89595, -79.37152). Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Rebecca Smith Coburn at Rebecca.Coburn@VDOT.virginia.gov. The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM EST on December 30, 2024. The contract period will be from date of award through April 8, 2025 (non renewable). The Commonwealth will make the award(s) on GRAND TOTAL basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The purchasing office reserves the right to conduct any test it may deem advisable and to make all evaluations. The Commonwealth also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, to waive informalities and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of the procuring public body to be in its best interest.
