VADOC is seeking a SBSD certified vendor to install concrete channels and storm drainpipe to eliminate flooding issues per the below. Commodity Code: 91361 - CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION 90619 - CONCRETE SERVICES 91430 - CONCRETE TIME FOR COMPLETION: 90 days The Dillwyn Correctional Center has experienced some flooding and ponding around buildings during heavy rain falls. This project intends to eliminate this issue through the installation of new storm pipe and new concrete channels to direct rainwater collected from existing downspouts away from the existing buildings towards lower lying areas. It also includes some grading. The project scope generally described as the following: Part 1: Installation of approximately 250 LF of storm drainpipe in the area behind the Administration Building, outside the secure perimeter. Part 2: Installation of concrete channels between housing buildings #5 and #6 inside the secure perimeter. Part 3: Installation of concrete channels between housing buildings #1, #2, and #3 inside the secure perimeter. Part 4: Installation of concrete channels between housing buildings #5 and #4 inside the secure perimeter. Part 5: Installation of concrete channels on the north side of housing building #1 and the east side of housing building #3 inside the secure perimeter. All contractors on site will be required to abide by all VADOC rules at all times. All work inside the secured perimeter will require adherence to special VADOC rules for work inside the secure perimeter. Contractors will be subject to personal, equipment, and other searches whenever passing through the sally port.
