Renovation of a mixed-use development in Calabasas, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a stadium.

As of November 5, 2025, did not proceed with bid , project was put on hold no rebid scheduled. Project Scope of Services Calabasas Tennis and Swim Center, 23400 Park Sorrento, Calabasas CA 91302 Meeting Rooms 1 and 2 Equipment, labor, and supervision to remove the existing 10-ton air handler located in the mechanical room and the two 5-ton condensers located on the roof and replace with a new 10-ton air handler and 1 dual circuit 10-ton condensing unit. Procure said equipment and have delivered to location. Recover refrigerant from old unit and properly dispose of. Demo electrical, condensation, and thermostat connections. Crane off condensing unit and haul away. Provide and install new platform cap. Demo indoor unit and haul away. This requires us to demo the unit completely and take out piece by piece. Crane up new condensing unit and set on pad. Provide and install copper condensate drain Provide and install new fusible disconnect with properly sized fuses. Provide and install new thermostat. Mount new indoor unit using the existing mounts. Reconnect refrigerant piping to new condenser and indoor unit. Provide and install new refrigerant ball valves on both circuits with bypass and filter driers. Leak check system and evacuate system to manufacturers specifications. Provide and install new fusible disconnects to match the new electrical code. Provide and install new liquid tight metal flex conduit for both high and low voltage wiring. Perform new equipment start up. Clean-up work area and check out with management. Main office Equipment, labor, and materials to replace (1) 10-ton ICP side shot package unit with a new 10-ton side shot heat pump package unit at the above listed location. Provide crane service and rigging on the agreed upon weekday morning Disconnect, remove and dispose of the existing unit per EPA regulations. Furnish and install (1) new 10-ton heat pump unit: including: new economizer, service disconnect/fuses, and thermostat. Procure said equipment and have delivered to location. Recover refrigerant from old unit and properly dispose of. Demo electrical, condensation, and thermostat connections. Crane off condensing unit and haul away. Provide and install new platform cap. Recover refrigerant from old units and properly dispose of. Demo electrical, condensation, and thermostat connections. Disconnect condensing units and haul away. Provide and install new platform caps. Install new condensing units and set on pads. Provide and install copper condensate drain Provide and install new fusible disconnects with properly sized fuses. Provide and install new thermostats. Reconnect refrigerant piping to new condensers and units. Provide and install new refrigerant ball valves on both circuits with bypass and filter driers. Leak check systems and evacuate systems to manufacturers specifications. Provide and install new fusible disconnects to match the new electrical code. Question Deadline 12/30/2024 All questions shall be addressed to Jeff Campbell, Deputy Community Services Director, City of Calabasas, (818) 222-2782, e-mail: jcampbell@cityofcalabasas.com In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code 3300, and Business and Professions Code 7028.15(e), the AGENCY has determined that the contractor shall possess a valid contractor's license of C-20 at the time that the contract is awarded. Failure to possess the specified license shall render a bidder's bid as non-responsive and shall bar award of the contract to any bidder not possessing the specified license at the time of the award. Bids must be prepared on the approved bid forms in conformance with INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS and submitted in the envelopes provided, sealed and plainly marked on the outside: "SEALED BID FOR TENNIS AND SWIM CENTER/CREEKSIDE PARK HVAC REPLACEMENT SPECIFICATION NO. CS2024-01 DO NOT OPEN WITH REGULAR MAIL" The bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the amount of 10% of the total bid by 2:00 p.m. January 6th, 2025. More specifically, pursuant to Public Contract Code 20170 and 20171, all bids for the project shall be presented, under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid: (a) cash; (b) a cashier's check made payable to the City of Calabasas; (c) a certified check made payable to the City of Calabasas; or (d) a bidder's bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, made payable to the City of Calabasas. Such security shall be forfeited should the successful bidder to whom the contract is awarded fails to timely execute the contract and to deliver the necessary bonds and insurance certificates as specified in the contract documents. Pursuant to California Civil Code 3247, a payment bond is required to be submitted for all projects estimated in excess of $25,000.00. The City of Calabasas has determined that the proposed project is a public works subject to the provisions of Labor Code 1720 thereby requiring the Contractor to pay the prevailing wage rates for all work performed under the Contract.
