The School Board is an independent taxing and reporting authority responsible for operating, controlling, and supervising all free public schools within the school district, subject to the Florida K-20 Education Code, Chapters 1000 - 1013, F.S. The Board consists of five (5) elected officials responsible for, among other things, the adoption of policies that govern the operation of District public schools. The elected Superintendent of Schools is responsible for the administration and management of the schools within the applicable parameters of state laws, State Board of Education Rules, and School Board policies. The District provides a standard, traditional curriculum to a student body of approximately 30,000 students from pre-kindergarten through the 12th grade. The District also provides adult education at several facilities during regular and non-school hours. In addition to the standard curriculum, the District offers a variety of specialized technical training programs for higher grade levels. The School Board of Leon County reserves the right to waive irregularities and informalities in any Bid and to reject any or all Bids in whole or part, with or without cause, and accept the Bid that, in its judgment, will be for the best interest of the School Board. Deadline for Questions: January 7, 2025 The City has estimated a range of $50,000 to $65,000 for the project. That range may be adjusted based on the competitive responses to the proposal.
