Renovation of a multi-residential development in Paola, Kansas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

Scope of Work (1) Foundation Piering (a) Excavation around the perimeter of the areas shown, to provide access to install perimeter piers under the footing. (b) Install perimeters piers in the numbers indicated and extend down to resistance. Use the piers to lift the footings if indicated by conditions. (c) After the footings are stabilized, the holes shall be backfilled in compacted lifts and the surface area graded out with organic topsoil, seeded and mulched. (i) If concrete slabs are removed to facilitate the piering, the concrete shall be repaired as shown on the drawings. (2) Floor Slab Repairs (a) The contractor will drill through the slab using a bit that is as small as feasible to accommodate the delivery nozzle. Care should be used to avoid damage to under-slab utilities as much as feasible. Damage to finished flooring should be kept to a minimum as well. (i) After the floor is stabilized, the contractor will grout the holes full and smooth off to match the top of slab. (ii) The Owner will take care of replacement of damaged flooring and vinyl base. (b) Using an approved 2-part, closed cell polyurethane, expanding foam, inject the void space between the slab and sub-base as needed to raise the floor and close off gaps between the floor and base and between the walls and ceilings throughout the apartment. (i) Sheet rock repairs, carpentry repairs and painting work is not part of this agreement and will be provided by the Owner. The contractor shall use care to minimize further damage or damage as a result of their work. (ii) In order to receive comparable cost proposals, the work for the base bid shall include work in the areas hatched on the drawings. If additional lifting work is required, the cost will be covered by change order. iii) The Contractor is responsible for daily cleanup of the work areas, and for hauling these items off for disposal off site. iv) After the original contract has been awarded, additional work may be identified by the Owner and the successful contractor. Additional work will be done by a change order. v) All work shall be completed in compliance with these contract documents vi) Weekly certified payroll reports (CPR's) shall be completed and submitted to the Owner for review. The Paola Housing Authority is now seeking competitive proposals for foundation and interior slab repairs to several of their scattered site apartments located at the East Street and Lewis Drive Site The Paola Housing Authority (PHA) is seeking Proposals from qualified firms to provide all labor and materials for foundation and interior floor slab repair work at selected apartments at these two sites in Paola, KS. The general scope of work includes excavation work and installation of perimeter foundation piers, injecting an expanding poly foam under the interior floor slabs to attempt to raise/level the floor, finish grading and seeding, and other items as specified for a complete and working installation. The contract period will be 60 calendar days. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified bidder. A bidder is considered qualified if they provide the submission documents indicated above and satisfy a reference check by the Owner. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to award the contract in the best interest of the Authority.
