This is a public works project consisting of the installation of approximately 1 mile of water main, abandonment of existing water mains scheduled for replacement, replacement of damaged service laterals, reconnection of acceptable service laterals, installation of water meters, installation and testing of backflow prevention devices, reconnection to customer plumbing, installation of fire hydrants, site/surface restoration, and all related appurtenances to support the continued return of metered potable water service to the Paradise Irrigation District (PID, or DISTRICT). Last day to submit questions This is a public works project located throughout Paradise, CA in the Paradise Irrigation District's service area. The Project contemplated consists of the following major components: Encroachment permit with the Town of Paradise Traffic Control Sitework including clearing, and grubbing Excavation, trenching, sheeting, shoring, and bracing as required by Section 6707 of the California Labor Code. Installation of approximately 255 feet of 6" C900 potable water main, 35 feet of 8" C900 potable water main, 4,570 feet of 12" C900 potable water main, and all corresponding tie-ins. Abandonment of approximately 475 feet of 6" water main by cutting and plugging. Abandonment of approximately 4,655 feet of existing 8" and 12" water main by sand blowing Installation of inline valves, air release valves, and blow off valves as required Reinstallation of seven (7) existing 6-inch hydrants Demolition of piping, valves, and hydrants as required Installation or reconnection of approximately 58 service laterals ranging in diameter from 1 to 2 inches Installation or resetting of meter boxes, and angle stop bullet locks and or brass caps for services as outlined in the project documents. Surface restoration for asphalt roads, concrete sidewalks, curbs, driveways, gravel areas, shoulders, drainage ditches, landscaped areas, and unpaved surfaces.
