The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for a qualified contractor for: Installation of a 15" steel encasement with a 12" plastic tile to be bored under IA 150 at approximate MM 32.5. This is connecting newly placed field tile by others on both sides of the road right-of-way. Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders as work performance and work capacity. Estimated project start date- 04/07/2025 (The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract). Estimated project end date- 04/25/2025 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids) Note: Winter work to be allowed if weather permits.
