Renovation of a municipal facility in West Palm Beach, Florida. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 39,000-square-foot municipal facility.

Architectural/engineering Services Are Required for Building Hardening, Restoration and Minor Tenant Build-out to Include Permit Drawings and Construction Administration. The Existing Building Is an Approximately 39,000 S.f. Administrative Facility. The Basic Construction is Cmu Block Walls With A Stucco Finish, 4" Concrete Slab on Grade, Steel Roof Joist in Select Areas and a Low- Sloped Roof With Steel Beams and a Pitched Roof Area. The Exterior Window System is an Impact Rated Storefront System. The Facility Was Designed in Accordance With the 1997 Standard Building Code and is Not in Alignment With Current Building Code Requirements. A Building Assessment Was Conducted in 2019 to Determine the Scope of Work Required. The Report Will Be Provided to the Selected Team for Re-assessment and Refinement of Scope With Current Conditions. The Building is to Be Renovated to Suit Multiple Users of the Facility. A Construction Manager (Cm) Will Be Selected in a Separate Solicitation, So That the Cm Can Provide Constructability Reviews and Cost Estimating Services During the Development of the Project. Pursuant to Florida Statutes 287.055 and County , Notice is Hereby Given That Palm Beach County Requires Architectural and Engineering Services for the Following Project: Architectural and Engineering Services Including Design, Permitting and Construction Administration For the Supervisor of Elections Building Hardening and Restoration Project Located at 240 South Military Trail West Palm Beach. Responses Will Be Evaluated Based on the Selection Criteria Set Out in the Rfp Including the Affirmative Procurement Initiatives (Apis) Determined by the Countys Goal Setting Committee. The Apis for This Solicitation Are: Up to 15 Points Shall Be Awarded Based on the Level of Mbe Dollar Participation for African American Owned Businesses That Has Been Committed to on the Prime Respondents Team. Gsc Findings to Support Mbe Preference: the Countys Disparity Study Found Disparity in Professional Services Contracting (Ccna) for African American Owned Businesses. The Sbe Goal for This Project is a Mandatory Minimum of 20% Participation. Prior to Submission of a Proposal, Any Firm or Individual, as Prime Consultant or as a Sub-consultant, Desiring to Provide Architectural, Engineering, Landscape Architectural, or Surveying and Mapping Professional Services to Palm Beach County Must First Be Ccna Certified by the County's Engineering and Public Works Department as Qualified Pursuant to Law, and in Accordance With the Most Recent Administrative Procedures for Awarding of Design Professional Consulting Contracts Adopted by Palm Beach County. Information Regarding the Design Consultant Certification Process May Be Obtained at: online Palm Beach County Reserves the Right to Waive Any Irregularities or Reject Any and All Proposals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Construction cost is estimated at $11.5 – $12.0 Million Dollars. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
