As of April 10, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The City Council will accept and consider the Bids received at 6:00 p.m. local time on February 17, 2025 at City Hall, 261 Sinsinawa Avenue, East Dubuque, Illinois. The extent of the work included in the Wastewater Collection System Improvements 2025 project includes extending gravity sanitary sewer service to a portion of a subdivision that is located outside of the City of East Dubuque that is currently served by private on-site septic systems. The project includes the installation of approximately 4,900 lineal feet of sanitary sewer main and 4,100 lineal feet of sanitary sewer service line. The sanitary sewer installation includes precast concrete manholes, surface restoration including HMA and PCC patching, erosion control measures and seeding. Additionally clearing and grubbing of portions of the site will be required to make the proposed improvements. It is also anticipated that rock excavation will be required for portions of the proposed sanitary sewer installation. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security in the form of a bid bond, bank draft, cashier's check, or certified check payable to the City of East Dubuque for 5% of the total amount of the bid. Work on the improvement shall commence on or before the date specified in the written "Notice to Proceed" with Substantial Completion by May 1, 2026, and Final Completion by June 1, 2026. Liquidate damages in the amount of $3,000.00 will be assessed for each day that the work shall remain uncompleted after the end of the final completion date, with due allowance for extension of contract period due to conditions beyond the control of the Contractor, as approved by the Owner. The City of East Dubuque reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
