Construction Estimate: $195,000 City of East DBQ - 1 St Street Parking Lot Bids will be received for the construction of a parking lot on property located south and west of the 1 st Street and Wall Street intersection. The proposed parking lot construction includes PCC pavement, HMA pavement, excavation, base stone and associated parking lot striping and miscellaneous work associated with parking lot construction. The proposed parking lot includes approximately 50 parking stalls including 2 ADA stalls. No work will be allowed on weekends. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security in the form of a bid bond, bank draft, cashier's check, or certified check payable to the City of East Dubuque for 5% of the total amount of the bid. Work on the improvementshall commence on or before the date specified in the written "Notice to Proceed" and the contract shall be completed by September 26, 2025. Liquidate damages in the amount of $750.00 will be assessed for each day that the work shall remain uncompleted after the end of the completion date, with due allowance for extension of contract period due to conditions beyond the control of the Contractor, as approved by the Owner. Warranty Period: The improvements shall be kept and maintained in good repair for a period of two years after Owner approval of the project. Contractors shall pay prevailing wages in accordance with the State of Illinois wage provisions. Current Illinois Wage Rates are included in the specifications. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid on the project, and that the contractors must ensure that employees and applicants or employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The bid totals will be available at and after the public bid opening. However, an itemized bid tabulation, if applicable, will not be publicly available until after the Owner awards the contract. The City of East Dubuque reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
