As of September 23, 2025, this project is in design. The architect has been identified and information regarding the method of general contractor selection is unavailable. A firm construction timeline has not been established. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. The District is currently seeking proposals from qualified engineering consulting firms for engineering design, survey, and environmental services required for this Project. The services would include the work described hereafter and detailed in Section III: Scope of Work and Technical Specifications. The District has currently budgeted for six (6) identified sections of water pipeline requiring construction or replacement and intent of this proposal is to provide engineering and environmental services related to the six (6) budgeted sections of water pipeline. Residential homes and/or commercial businesses are in close proximity to replacement pipelines and noise and other construction impacts and considerations will need to be addressed during construction. A list of the six (6) proposed pipeline sections requiring design effort are listed hereafter. The District plans to construct a new 8-in diameter ductile iron pipe (DIP) replacement waterline located within Egan Avenue located between an existing waterline within Egan Avenue and 6th Street to the existing waterline within California Avenue. District staff estimates the proposed waterline will be approximately 1,050 feet in length. The existing homes on Egan Avenue are currently served from two pipelines in the two parallel alleys, east and west of Egan Avenue. The existing services shall be rerouted from the alleys to the front of the properties at the new pipeline location and shall take service from said pipeline in Egan Avenue. The existing two (2) alley pipelines shall be severed and abandoned in place. Pipeline 3: There is currently no waterline within Wellwood Avenue, however, the District plans to construct a new 8-in diameter ductile iron pipe (DIP) waterline within Wellwood Avenue from 5th Street to 8th Street. District staff estimates the waterline will be approximately 1,220 feet in length. The existing homes on Wellwood Avenue are currently served via the two separate pipelines in the alleys that parallel Wellwood Avenue to the east and west of Wellwood Avenue. The existing services shall be rerouted from the alleys to the front of the properties at the new pipeline location and shall take service from said pipeline in Wellwood Avenue. The existing two (2) alley pipelines shall be severed and abandoned in place. Pipeline 4: The District owns and operates an aging 6-in diameter riveted steel waterline approximately 1,164 feet in length, located within Orange Avenue from E. 6th Street to E. 8 th Street in the City of Beaumont.
