The Board of Education of St. Mary's County (the Board) on behalf of St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS) and the Department of Maintenance are requesting sealed bids from experienced and qualified Contractors to repair and install brick and block mortar, replace damaged/missing brick/block, refurbish lintels, replace damaged lintels, remove and install vertical/horizontal caulking, remove and install caulking at the building sidewalk water cut offs, remove and install caulking at sidewalk joints from the sidewalks to the curb gutters, and remove and install caulking around doors and windows throughout the SMCPS school system. Refer to the Project Specifications of this RFP for full details, duties and responsibilities associated with this Bid Solicitation for Exterior Refurbishment Services. It is the intent of SMCPS to award this contract to multiple contractors deemed qualified, responsive, and providing the best overall value for SMCPS. It is the intent of SMCPS to award this contract in February 2025, pending Board Approval, and to have awarded contractors that perform site visits of proposed exterior refurbishments throughout the buildings of SMCPS to quantify area square and linear footages and bid item designations and to formulate a quote per the approved unit pricing established in this RFP. After quote is received, SMCPS will provide a purchase order to the awarded contractor(s) of this RFP for performance. Each quote provided for each specific location will identify the project duration to incorporate into a formal schedule PERIOD OF CONTRACT: One (1) Year with the Option to Renew for Four (4) Additional One-Year Periods Question Deadline 01/03/2025 at 10:00 AM ET REQUESTS FOR RFP CLARIFICATIONS: Prospective Contractors can request that SMCPS clarify information contained in the RFP.
