The purpose of this request for proposal is to invite prospective vendors to submit a proposal for the HVAC replacement of the Benson Community Resource Building for the Town of Benson. Building address is 403 South Elm Street, Benson, NC. o Replacement of existing roof top units with new units. o Replacement of existing exhaust fans with new units. o Curb modification may be needed and is part of this contract. Coordination with roofing contractor for sealing. o Control wiring, thermostat, duct smoke detectors and final electrical hook-ups by HVAC contractor. o Existing ductwork to remain except where modifications shown. o Replacement of all diffusers/ registers. o Contractor responsible for proper disposal of existing units. o Balance new system after start- up. o All details for bid are on drawings. o Equipment is specified on drawings but alternates are welcome if comparable.
