Estimated Construction Cost: $200M-$600M Scope of Services The selected Environmental Consultant will work at the direction of the university’s representative and with UC Berkeley’s Office of Environment, Health, and Safety (EH&S) to manage and coordinate the soil and groundwater characterization and management for the project. The scope of services for the selected Environmental Consultant shall include the following tasks and responsibilities: Sample and characterize soil and groundwater, as needed, within the project area. Perform a risk-based evaluation and develop construction specifications for soil reuse and management. Develop and implement a soil and groundwater management plan, which will be provided to contractors performing earthwork. Correspond with regulatory agencies on behalf of UC Berkeley, as needed, to facilitate the development and implementation of any soil and groundwater management and soil reuse procedures. Conduct or coordinate all related fieldwork, including, but not limited to, sampling, construction phase monitoring, and inspections. Prepare project meeting notes and/or progress reports, as needed, for university representatives Submit questions regarding this RFQ through BuildingConnected by using the Message Tab. This request for qualifications concerns selection of an Environmental Consultant. Include a list of subconsultants, if any, proposed in the RFQ response. The University reserves the right to recommend changes and approve subconsultants to the Environmental Consultant. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
