Site work and paving for a civil project in Allegan, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The work for which bids are being requested consists of the following: The base bid includes replacing the deck, railing, and railroad ties for the bridge located on Bear Creek in Hopkins Township. The bridge traverses Bear Creek and can be access from a gravel drive off of 127th Ave and 25th St intersection. Included in the bid is one alternate: to use 12 foot pressure treated ties and larger wearing surface to fit to replace the bridge deck in its entirety and various appurtenances. A certified check or bank draft drawn on a solvent bank in the State of Michigan payable without condition to the OWNER or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company, in an amount equal to 5 percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety (90) days. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract price. Bond forms are included in the Contract Documents.
