This is a Request for Proposal for construction services. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Jamie Whitten Delta Staes Research Center (JWDSRC) located in Stoneville, MS., has a requirement demolish existing natural gas boilers, supply and install new natural gas boilers for Buildings #5 and #6. The work includes but is not limited to: The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, and professional services necessary to demo (4) existing Lochinvar Boilers and (4) Bell and Gossett Pumps and install new Boilers and Pumps, as per the Statement of Work (SoW). The project is located at the USDA-ARS-SEA, JWDSRC, 141 Experiment Station Road, Stoneville, MS. 38776. The contractor shall provide a detailed technical proposal and detailed cost breakdown for the entire project. The solicitation number is 12405B25R0006 and is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The NAICS code is 238220 with a size standard of $19.0 M. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity for a site visit and to ask any relevant questions. The project is to demo (4) existing Lochinvar Boilers and (4)Bell and Gossett Pumps and install new Boilers and Pumps. Bldg. #5 Work Required: (2) Boilers and (4) pumps are located at Building #5. Contractor will demo (2) existing Lochinvar Boilers and remove from Site. Contractor will remove (4) Bell and Gosset Pumps, Model Numbers e616t and e619T, and turn them over to USDA. Contractor will furnish and install (2) Lochnivar Model #CHN1262 Boilers or approved equal. Contractor will install (2) Bell and Gossett Pumps Model # e616T, or approved equal, located on the west side interior of Bldg. #5. Contractor will install (2) Bell and Gossett Pumps Model #e619T, or approved equal, on the east side interior of Bldg. #5. Bldg. #6 Work Required: (2) Boilers are located at Building #6. Contractor will demo (2) existing Lochinvar Boilers and remove from Site. Contractor will furnish and install (2) Lochnivar Model #CHN1262, or approved equal, Boilers. All Boilers to be installed per the Manufacturers recommendations and as contained in this SOW to produce a finished and useable product. Coordinate boiler demolition with USDA. Contractor will provide Factory Startup, O&M Manuals, Boiler and Pump Submittals for approval, and Boiler Warranties, Contractor will use existing Piping with possible modifications needed for new equipment connections. Contractor will use existing electrical disconnects, controls, etc. b. The Contractor shall be responsible to handle and dispose of debris at an off-site, certified disposal site consistent with all Local, State, and Federal requirements. c. All proposed equivalent products must be submitted, along with the necessary documentation, to the CO and EPM one week before the bid deadline so that an informed ruling can be made and the bidder informed prior to the submission of bids Contractors are required to be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to submitting a proposal. Questions/answers discussed at the site visit will not be binding on the resultant contract unless submitted in writing and incorporated into the solicitation by amendment.
