Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Le Claire, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work for which bids are asked generally consists of the construction of approximately 1,260 SY of PC concrete parking lot, 1,360 SY of PC concrete sidewalk, storm sewer system, stormwater control structure, sodding, seeding, and the installation of a Vortex splash pad including equipment, features, piping, enclosure, PC concrete pad, mechanical, electrical controls, water service and drain. The bid project will include alternative bids for the installation of playground equipment & poured-in-place surfacing. Each BIDDER shall accompany its bid with a bid security as security that the successful BIDDER will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of CONTRACT a corporate surety bond or bid bond, acceptable to the OWNER, for the faithful performance of the CONTRACT, in an amount equal to 100 percent of the amount of the CONTRACT. The bid security shall be equal to at least 5% and shall be in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check drawn on a state chartered or federally charted bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered credit union. The Bid Bond shall contain no exceptions. The successful BIDDER shall be required to furnish a performance BOND and a payment BOND, each in the amount of 100 percent of the CONTRACT PRICE, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, within ten (10) calendar days of the date when the NOTICE OF AWARD is delivered to the BIDDER. The NOTICE OF AWARD shall be accompanied by the necessary AGREEMENT and BOND forms. In case of failure of the BIDDER to execute the AGREEMENT, the OWNER may at his option consider the BIDDER in default, in which case the BID BOND shall become property of the OWNER. The City Council of the CITY OF LECLAIRE will conduct a public hearing on the plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimate of cost for the construction of Huckleberry Park Improvements on August 18, 2025 at 6:00 pm at City Hall located at 325 Wisconsin Street, LeClaire, IA 52753.
