The Fall River Housing Authority is soliciting Sealed Bids from qualified Contractors for an elevator Preventative Maintenance contract. The duration of the contract will be five (5) years with two (2) separate and distinct one-year options to renew offered at the sole discretion of the FRHA. This service contract covers elevators at nine (9) locations with the City of Fall River and under the management of the FRHA. The nine locations are specified with the bid package and the initial five-year term value is estimated at $500,000. This project is being conducted solely online therefore all bids are submitted electronically and Hard Copy Bids will not be accepted. Included in the specifications are the state prevailing wage rates and Davis Bacon rates that apply to this project. General Bidders must be DCAMM certified for category ELEVATORS, proof of certificate and update statement is required. Each bidder must submit with their bid, a deposit equal to 5% of the total amount of their bid. Said bid deposit may be in the form of a certified check, bank or cashier's check or a bond payable to the City of Fall River, from a surety company licensed to do business in Massachusetts. The Authority's Board of Commissioners will award a contract to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the best price. The FRHA reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities or to reject any or all bids when doing so is deemed to be in the best interest of the FRHA.
