SCOPE OF WORK A. Typical work may include: Part 1: Pumping of Cesspools and Septic Tanks Bid price per thousand gallons to include all labor, equipment, and dumping/disposal fees required to clean and pump District cesspools and septic tanks on an as-needed basis. This price must include locating, digging and opening a cesspool or septic tank cover; pumping out the cesspool or septic tank; replacing the cover and re-grading the site to its original condition. District cesspools should never be hydro-jetted. Pump operator must show a District representative (e.g., head custodian or senior maintainer) evidence of the number of gallons pumped. The District will not pay any fee to store pumped material if access to a designated disposal site is delayed. If requested by the District, a Disposal Manifest must accompany each invoice submitted for pumping a cesspool. Part 2: Pumping of Grease Traps Bid price per hundred gallons to include all labor, equipment, and dumping/disposal fees required to clean and pump District grease traps on an as-needed basis. This price must include any costs associated with inspection, pumping, and cleaning all grease traps of fat, oil, grease and solids, and restoring the work site to its original condition. Pump operator must show a District representative (e.g., head custodian or senior maintainer) evidence of the number of gallons pumped. The District will not pay any fee to store pumped material if access to a designated disposal site is delayed. If requested by the District, a Disposal Manifest must accompany each invoice submitted for pumping a grease trap. Part 3: Power Snaking Bid price per hour to include all labor and equipment to power snake all size waste lines, district wide. Bid price to include the removal of all caps and covers as necessary to access lines, and to clean and restore the work site to its original condition. Part 4: Sewer-Jet Clearing Bid price per hour to include all labor and equipment, including sewer-jet equipment, required to clear clogs and blockages from waste lines district wide. Must clean work site and restore to original condition. Part 5: Use of Heavy-Duty Pump Truck or "Supersucker" to: o Clear Debris from Catch Basins and Storm Drains Bid price per hour to include all labor and equipment required to use "supersucker" equipment to clean debris from the District's storm drains and catch basins on an as-needed basis. Price is to include any and all fees required to properly dispose of waste material. o Remove Sewage Bid price per hour to include all labor and equipment required to use "supersucker" equipment to remove sewage on an as-needed basis. Price is to include any and all fees required to properly dispose of sewage waste. Part 6: Video Inspection Bid price per hour to include labor and the use of video equipment to troubleshoot problems in waste lines. The successful bidder, when requested, will employ digital scanning or side scanning (DET or DSSET) equipment (digital scan capable of 360-degree rotation at the scan probe with panning, and remote focus capability), in order to provide the District with a permanent record of an inspection in pipelines ranging from 4 inches in diameter to as large as 2 feet in diameter. Inspections should provide the District with any defects that may be found, such as cracks, broken pipes, root intrusion, open or offset joints, points of filtration, and problematic service laterals. The digital scanning equipment shall be capable of inspecting a maximum of 200 feet of sewer line when entry into the sewer can be accessed from the upstream and downstream manhole. Bidder must provide the District with access to the video recording and report. PCAP Certification required for all employees. Part 7: Chemicals Please provide a list of the common chemicals that may be utilized in servicing cesspools or drain/waste pipes. Please indicate what each chemical is used for, and the price per gallon including any labor involved with the its use. Any chemicals used must conform to all Federal, State and Local regulations. Material Safety Data Sheets must be supplied to the Buildings & Grounds Department when any chemical product is applied.
