The project includes painting and line striping approximately 2,121.80 Stations & 91 Symbols within the City of Newton, Iowa city limits. The objective of this project to provide for the complete service of traffic painting, line striping, and stencil painting within the limits of Newton, Iowa. 1) Contractors shall paint according to Section 2527-Pavement Marking: Iowa DOT Standard Specifications w/GS15002. 2) Waterborne traffic marking paint. 3) Section 19-24 to only be completed with written permission from the Public Works Director. Streetscape 2025 in the design phase and will effect these locations if awarded. 4) With the addition of Aldis along Iowa Speedway Drive, the south bound lanes in section 4 have been redesigned. Complete to design sheet The contractor who is awarded the contract to perform the work shall be required to provide a performance and payment bond to secure the performance and timely completion of the work and to secure the payment of subcontractors and suppliers, as required by Section 573.2 of the Code. Contractor shall fully complete the project on or before October 3, 2025. Should the contractor fail to complete the work in this timeframe, liquidated damages of $200 per calendar day will be assessed for work not completed within the designated contract term Competitive quotations shall be filed on the Competitive Quotation form provided by the City and included with this RFQ. Competitive quotations which are filed in any other form shall be determined to be non-responsive and shall be rejected by the City. The Quoting Contractor hereby acknowledges that the City of Newton (hereinafter City) reserves the right to: 1. Reject any, or all, competitive quotations. Award of the contract, if any, shall be made to be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder.
