This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Westminster, California. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
Question Deadline 01/02/2025 at 3:00 PM PT Please direct all questions to the District's Purchasing Department, at purchasing@hbuhsd.edu. No Phone calls will be accepted. No oral interpretation will be made to any Vendor as to the meaning of the RFP. Network Cabinet Equipment and Setup The Goal: To provide qualified vendors with the necessary information and specifications to allow them to respond with a solution that they determine best meets those requirements. The District is seeking to replace existing wall-mounted cabinets to accommodate the equipment installed in the cabinets. This project will require the vendor to work with existing data infrastructure cabling: single-mode fiber, multimode fiber, and CAT5e/6/6A copper. The winning bidder will be required to inspect existing cabling, re-terminate said cabling into new enclosures and panels in the new wall-mounted cabinets, and re-certify that the data cabling will comply with the supported data throughput of given cabling. Where necessary, the winning bidder will need to provide a contingency for non-compliant data cabling to include re-termination and possibly installing new fiber or copper cabling to replace non-compliant wiring. Finally, the winning bidder will need to certify and warranty the re-terminated cabling for a period of at least 10 years, and provide a plan of how such warranty support will be provided. The winning bidder's proposed solution price must include a complete bill of materials, labor to remove existing cabinets, install new cabinets, re-terminate existing cables onto new patch panels as required, test, label, document and include applicable sales tax and shipping. All work performed must conform to prevailing wage standards. Additional Requirements: Please provide pricing for the Network Cabinets and any accessories/equipment necessary on the following page. All bidders will need to use the District provided "FY2025_Huntington_BUHSD_CAT2_Equipment_Bid_List" sheet to provide pricing information. Bids not submitted using this sheet will be considered non-compliant. Vendor and employees assigned to the project will need to be fully certified with the products they are using. Certifications must be current and provided with the bid proposal. Failure to provide evidence will be considered grounds for disqualification of the bid. Vendorwill need to provide proof of C10 certification as the project will require re-wiring AC power as part of the project. This will be a prevailing wage contract, all employees who are working on this project must be paid according to prevailing wage guidelines. Failure to provide evidence will be considered grounds for disqualification of the bid. Technical Requirements and Statement of Intent The District's intent is to standardize to a single manufacturer when possible, for its networking equipment wall mounted enclosures, fiber enclosures, and Cat5e/6/6A patch panels. Existing data infrastructure is a mix of various vendors' panels and enclosures. The proposed new hardware must meet the following minimum requirements: 1. Network Cabinet will need to accommodate the following existing equipment: a. 1, 2,or 4 RU fiber enclosure (sizing where applicable, ); b. Meraki Switch MS355 dimensions 1.7inch (height) x 19 inches (width) x 20 inches (depth) with an additional 3 inches on the depth for a total of 24 inches minimum to accommodate the power supply and cord. c. 2RUUPS d.
