The City of Marshalltown owns approximately 0.33 acres of vacant land located at 2 West Main Street and is accepting proposals for the redevelopment of this property. The land is located at the corner of West Main Street and South Center Street in the core of downtown Marshalltown. The property has good pedestrian access and ample on-street parking in the vicinity. The land is zoned Urban Core and is being sold as-is. Any improvements on the land will be required to meet the requirements of the Marshalltown Zoning Code for properties located in the Urban Core (UC) zoning district. Review of proposals will continue until a selection committee consisting of representatives from the City of Marshalltown, Marshalltown Central Business District, and the Marshalltown Area Chamber of Commerce, is ready to make a recommendation to the City Council for the sale and redevelopment of the property. The City Council will review all proposals and reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. The ultimate decision to accept a proposal will be based on the proposal that is most advantageous to the citizens of Marshalltown.
