The Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Central Procurement Bureau, Hoover State Office Building, Level 3, 1305 East Walnut Street, Des Moines, Iowa 50319 will be receiving bids for decommission of boiler #4, addition of boiler #8, deaerator tank replacement, chiller #7 replacement, cooling tower #5 /#6 /#7 replacement, switch gear enclosure, and chiller/steam water metering at The Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown, Iowa 50158. The Iowa Department of Administrative Services anticipates construction to begin on July 17th, 2020 and end on September 21st, 2020. Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Form and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashiers check or a certified check drawn upon a solvent bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America. The Iowa Department of Administrative Services reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive irregularities and to accept a bid that is deemed in the best interest of the State of Iowa. Bidders must comply with all affirmative action/equal employment opportunity provisions of the State of Iowa and the Federal Government. This project is exempt from Iowa Sales Tax.
