Site work for a transportation facility in Long Beach, California. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

The City will conduct a mandatory pre-bidconference to review bid submission processes, PLA, SBE, and LaborCompliance requirements and to present the scope of work to be performed under these specifications. Bidders that do not attend the meeting will have theirbids disqualified. WORK SITE WALK-THROUGH:The Work Site located south of the intersection of N Lakewood Boulevard and E Spring Street as shown on thenext page is open to the public; therefore, there will be no on-site job walk-through to be conducted by the City. Bidders may view the Work Site at any time at their own discretion. Bidders shall accept the conditions andnecessary work regardless of whether the Bidder visited the Work Site. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Work to be done consists primarily of removal of existing landscaping,installation of new gateway sign approximately 12 high by 125 long near the intersection of N Lakewood and ESpring Street, installation of a concrete foundation for the sign, installation of new electrical for the lighting, newirrigation, and new landscaping .CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE: The Contractor and subcontractor shall possess a combination of valid CaliforniaClass A, General Engineering Contractor s license and California C-10 Electrical Contractor s License, at the timeof the award and for the duration of the Work. The City may deem any Bidder who fails to possess the requiredlicenses to be non-responsive. BID SECURITY: Bidders must scan and upload with their bid documents a certified check or bank draft payableto the City of Long Beach, drawn on a solvent bank in the United States of America, or a satisfactory bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the Bid. The original of the above instrument shall be submitted to the City Clerk by mail in a sealed envelope and must be received and time/date stamped by the City Clerk s Officeno later than the time and date stated for receipt of bids. A corporate surety bond in favor of the City of Long Beach in an amount not less than 100 percent of the Contract price for the faithful performance of the Contract, and A corporate surety ond in an amount not less than 100 percent of the Contract price for the payment of all labor and material claims
