The City of Fernandina Beach, Florida (City) is requesting Guaranteed Maximum Price proposals from qualified contractors to provide construction services for the installation of approximately 3,300 linear feet of new sanitary sewer force main that will connect an existing lift station to a gravity collection system within the Simmons Road Right-of-Way on Amelia Island, Florida. Simmons Road is an existing Nassau County owned and maintained two-lane road. The City of Fernandina Beach will coordinate approval for this work with Nassau County. The project will consist of connection to an existing 4" force main at a lift station on Seminole Rd and 6" directional bore under two County roads. The force main installation along the right of way may be installed by trench or directional bore. The successful bidder is to perform all installation, testing and restoration necessary to obtain final clearance from FDEP and Nassau County. The successful contractor will provide all materials, equipment, labor, tools, and supervision necessary to perform the installation of the new force main in accordance with the Construction documents prepared by the City. The contractor and any subcontractors shall be properly licensed as provided by the applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
