The designated website and registered bidders will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent ofthe Total Bid. Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Interior upgrades: Phase II 38,000 sf, Phase III 46,000 sf and roofing of approximately 35,000 sf completing the renovation of the 147,000 sf building. a. Construction: New interior partitions, floor and ceiling finishes, doors and exterior windows, and minor roof patching and repair and new exterior facade. b. Structural: Installation of new mechanical roof top dunnage, cutting of existing cast-in-place slab, foundation work for a new vestibule and loading dock renovations c. HVAC: Systems to be replaced include but not limited to: Air Handlers, Exhaust Fans, duct work, and all outdated heating and cooling systems and their components. d. Electrical: New power supply, distribution and emergency power and lighting. e. Plumbing: removal and replacement of all outdated plumbing systems including but not limited to Domestic water lines, RO water lines, storm and waste piping and venting and support systems for mechanical systems. f. Fire protection: installation of new building wide fire suppression system. g. Site work: Site modifications and parking upgrades for handicapped accessibility and safer pedestrian access into the building.
