Site work for a civil project in Oakville, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work to be done under this contract consists of the construction of approximately 3,253 lineal feet of pipe sewers, varying in size from 8 to12 in diameter, 1,772 lineal feet of 6 force main, one sanitary pump station to be constructed. Bids will be received only from companies that are prequalified by the Districts Engineering Department for Deep Sewer Construction. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary in response to prospective bidders questions poor to the opening of the Bid will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all pre-qualified bidders who have purchased plans and specifications. Questions received less than 5 days prior to the date for opening the bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or ciantications will be without legal effect. Addenda may also be issued to modify the Bidding Documents as deemed advisable by the Distoct. The proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or cashiers check on a bank or trust company in St. Louis County or in the City of St. Louis or by a bidder's bond, for an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid amount as bid security to the District. The Contractor shalt commence work within ten (10) days after the date of written notice from the District to begin and shall complete all work within five hundred forty five (545) calendar days after the expiration of such ten (10) day period. The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer DeInd (Ocelot) has established subcontractor goals for Building Construction (21% MBE and 10% VVT4E) and Non Building Construction (10% MBE and 10% 1,WBE) the amount of $60.000 or more Workforce goal requirements of 37% Mnonty. The Distncl reserves the right to reject any and all bids, offers or proposals subnytted. to accept the proposal that it deems to be to as best interest. or to advertise for new bids The District reserves the right to defer the acceptance of any proposal and the award and execution of a contract for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days after the date of opening the bids The successful bidder, whose proposal has been accepted, shall sign the Contract in duplcate The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District (District) has established subcontractor goals for Building Construction (21% MBE and 10% WBE) and Non-Building Construction (10% MBE and 10% WBE) in the amount of $50,000 or more. Workforce goal requirements of 37% Minority, 11% Women, and 46% Apprentice (when applicable) apply to contracts in the amount of $500,000 or more. The requirements are further explained in the attached Business Diversity Utilization and Workforce Program document. This report summarizes the results of a subsurface exploration performed for the New England Town Cliff Cave Pump Station (P-323) Improvements (10715) project for Sterling. The study was performed in general accordance with the TSi proposal dated September 11, 2022. Based on TSi's understanding of the project, the following items have been identified for inclusion in this report: project and site descriptions; field exploration procedures; lab testing program; field and laboratory test results for materials encountered at the borings; site geology and subsurface conditions, including material types to be expected at existing and proposed grades, and groundwater depth; suitability of onsite materials for use as fill or backfill; and excavation considerations including trench side slope stability, and potential impact of the excavation on any nearby structures.
