Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a sidewalk / parking lot in Festus, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a sidewalk / parking lot; for the construction of a sidewalk / parking lot; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Festus R-VI School District is seeking general contracting services to engineer, design, and implement and complete construction of a new parking lot including the demolition of two existing residential facilities. Festus School District owns two residential properties located at 1601 and 1608 Mid-Meadow LN in Festus, MO 63028. The current dwellings and all structures on these properties are to be demolished and removed, including foundations. The property at 1601 Mid-Meadow Ln will be backfilled and graded to accommodate future construction. The property at 1608 Mid-Meadow will be restored as a new parking lot. This will require the design and engineering to comply with all city, county, state, and federal requirements. Performance and Payment Bonds Upon award of bid, Bidder shall be required to submit to the District proof of a Performance Bond. Bond Company must be a U.S. Company with an A+ best rating and licensed in all 50 states. Contractor will provide proof of the bonding company with their initial bid. Permits The vendor shall be responsible for securing any necessary city, county, state, and/or federal permits prior to commencing work. Payment Terms The Festus R-VI will make payment in full (100%) following the next board of education meeting after the project is complete and accepted by authorized R-VI officials. If the contractor desires other payment arrangements, please detail within bid. Deadline for Completion of Project Pending awarding of the bid, the project must be completed within the timelines established between the contractor and R-VI District. Vendors may have access to the facility during this time period at all times during the 24-hour day as long as arrangements are made in advance with school officials and the facility is available. It is imperative that the vendor be able to complete work on established timelines. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
