Parking Lot Improvements at the Festus Early Childhood Center Project Overview: The Festus R-VI School District is seeking bids for parking lot improvements, including patching, sealing, and striping at Festus Early Childhood Center located at 821 American Legion Dr. in Festus, MO 63028. Scope of Services: This project will involve cleaning, patching where needed, crack fill, sealing, and striping of the existing parking lot. Bids should include all labor, materials, and disposal. Work is to be scheduled after June 1, 2025 and completed by August 10, 2025. Basic disciplines required: Paving / sealing Request for Qualification Statements: The following information should be included under the title "Request for Proposals for ECC Parking Lot Improvements." 1. Name of Firm. 2. Firm address. 3. Firm telephone number. 4. Firm federal tax identification number. 5. Name, title, address, telephone number, fax number and email address of contact person authorized to contractually obligate the firm. Contents of Proposal Submittal A brief statement of the Firm's understanding of the scope of the work to be performed; Provide an estimated schedule for completion. Describe the firm's workload and current capacity to accomplish the work by the proposed deadlines. Identify all subcontractors proposed for the project, their role and provide pertinent information on each subcontractor related to this section. The Festus R-6 School District reserves the right to request any additional information to assure itself of a Firm's financial status. 4. Professional References: Firm should: Provide professional references of previous projects as described. The Festus R-6 School District will determine which firm will be selected to enter into contract negotiations. Final approval will be made on the March 20, 2025 board meeting. Unsuccessful firms will be notified as soon as possible. Questions should be addressed to Steve Copeland, Director of Maintenance, at copelandsteven@festusedu.com. Each contractor must be able to provide a 'Certificate of Insurance.' If awarded the bid, the contractor must submit a revised 'Certificate of Insurance' listing Festus R-VI as an 'additional insured.' Performance and Payment Bonds Upon award of bid, Bidder shall be required to submit to the District proof of a Performance Bond. Bond Company must be a U.S. Company with an A+ best rating and licensed in all 50 states. Contractor will provide proof of the bonding company with their initial bid. Permits The vendor shall be responsible for securing any necessary city, county, state, and/or federal permits prior to commencing work. Payment Terms The Festus R-VI will make payment in full (100%) following the next board of education meeting after the project is complete and accepted by authorized R-VI officials. If the contractor desires other payment arrangements, please detail within bid. Deadline for Completion of Project: Pending awarding of the bid, the project must be completed within the timelines established between the contractor and R-VI District. Vendors may have access to the facility during this time period at all times during the 24-hour day as long as arrangements are made in advance with school officials and the facility is available. It is imperative that the vendor be able to complete work on established timelines. By submitting a formal bid. The vendor/contractor agrees to all conditions below: Pay Prevailing Wage of Jefferson County to all workers during the project. Submit pay records upon request. For each employee that will be working on Festus R-VI campuses, a background check will need to be provided to the District prior to their working, if requested. No registered sex offender will be permitted anywhere on campus. The Festus R-VI school district reserves the right to reject any worker on the basis of a background check. The Festus R-VI campuses are completely smoke-free, including vehicles parked on Festus R-VI properties. Workers are required to wear SHIRT, PANTS, and SHOES at all times. Workers are NOT permitted to enter any school buildings unless authorization has been provided in advance. Any incomplete or late bid will be disqualified from consideration.
