As of September 19, 2025, project is under construction. Construction will suspend October 26, 2025, and resume in Spring 2026. Completion October 30, 2026. MnDOT requests responses for construction oversight monitoring of contaminated materials during project excavation, removal and replacement of all pavements, curb and gutter and sidewalk work, new storm sewer installation along Trunk Highway (TH) 19, along with improvements to the city water and sanitary sewer work. Contaminated material handling will include soil handling and disposal, groundwater dewatering, treatment and discharge, and possible regulated waste handling (debris) during construction of the MnDOT Project 4204-40 Hwy 19, Marshall, Minnesota Reconstruction Project. MnDOT is planning a large reconstruction (TH 19/College Drive) from 700 feet west of Marlene Street through the intersection of Bruce Street in the city of Marshall, Minnesota. The pavement has deteriorated, and the city of Marshall needs to replace aging utilities. Sidewalk improvements will be made along the project corridor in accordance with the ADA. A bike lane will be stripped from Marlene Street to just west of the Fairgrounds Road. Construction is planned to start in 2025 and is anticipated to take 2 years (2025 and 2026) to complete.
