Minimum wage rates to be paid by the contractor(s) have been predetermined and are subject to the Work Hours Act of 1962, P.L. 87-581. Those, which apply to this project, are set forth in the proposal for this project: Replace Bridge 12521 with a double line of 16'x12' of precast box culverts; Replace Bridge 90148 with a double line of 10'x8' precast box culverts Approximate major items of work include: removal of 2 bridges, removal of 1 wooden box culvert, removal pipe culverts, 134 feet of 10x8 precast concrete box culvert, 4 each of 10x8 precast concrete box culvert end sections, 104 feet of 16x12 precast concrete box culvert, 4 each of 16x12 precast concrete box culvert end sections, 730 feet of CS pipe culvert, 457 tons of Class III Rip Rap, 640 tons of aggregate base class 5 modified, 157 tons of aggregate base class 2, erosion control, revegetation, and traffic control. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bidders bond made payable to Chippewa County in a sum not less than 5% of the bid. See Proposal for acceptable forms of a bid bond.
