Site work and new construction of a residential development in Herndon, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 435-unit residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
In accordance with the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002 (PPEA), the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) and the Fairfax County's Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) are seeking a qualified Developer (the "Developer") to plan, design, construct, own and operate an affordable housing community on the County-owned property known as Dulles Greene Split into “north” and “south” phases, the project would consist of two seven-story buildings with underground parking and one or two private courtyards. The approximately 435 housing units would range from one to four bedrooms, targeting households that earn up to 30%, 50% or 60% of the area median income (AMI). Each building will offer resident-centric amenities and programming, including onsite resident services, onsite management, business center, package rooms, community lounge, multipurpose rooms, fitness center, playrooms, and two private courtyards which will include playground equipment, grilling stations and turf areas to allow for active and passive recreation activities. As of April 15, 2026, information regarding a start date for construction has not been established. Construction on the North building will start first and be completed by April of 2030.
