Renovation of a library in North Bergen, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

The agenda will include a review of the existing facility and review of the scope of work under the contract. Time being of the essence, Substantial Completion, and Final Completion, must be in place in accordance with the timeline in the Bid Form. The scope of work includes the complete renovation and major improvements to the existing North Bergen Public Library. Work throughout include improvements, renovations, upgrades, and modifications to: building systems, HVAC systems; electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, and life safety systems; building envelope repairs; casework and fixed furnishings; finishes; signage, and other work, as described in the Contract Documents and/or as may be provided 'By Others'. Contractors shall coordinate their work with work by others as directed by the Owner. Site work includes the replacement of: paved walks; curbs and sidewalks; paved parking areas; trash; fence enclosure; signage; and other work, as described in the Contract Documents. Question Deadline 01/07/2025 All questions concerning the bidding documents, plans and specifications shall be submitted to the North Bergen Public Library's Architect in writing o allow for the issuance of a response to all Bidders. Questions shall be addressed in writing to the Architect, Milla Architecture Studio, via email at Michael@MillaArch.Studio Bidder and requisite Subcontractors shall be NJ DPMC Pre-Qualified Contractors. Bidder and requisite Subcontractors shall submit Notice of Classification Form 27, including Aggregate Amount of Classification and Amounts of Uncompleted Contracts Form 701, with the Bid. All documentation for verification of qualifications shall be submitted with the Bid. All contractors and subcontractors must provide a NJ Business Registration Certificate (BRC) per N.J.S.A. 52:32-44; BRC must be on file prior to bid award. The Contractor is solely responsible for compliance with all laws, regulations, OSHA regulations and other applicable standards and requirements for the performance of their work. The successful bidder shall be responsible for securing all jurisdictional permits and shall possess trade licenses as required for performance of the work. The successful Bidder must be experienced in the type and size of project described in the Bid Documents, and must meet requirements and qualifications set forth in the Bid Documents. A bidder's proposal must be accompanied by a Surety's Consent and either a bid bond or Certified check for not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid or $20,000.00 maximum whichever is the lesser. Certified checks shall be made payable to the North Bergen Public Library. The said Surety shall be bound to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the Contract Price. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, C.127. N.J.A.C. 17:27 Affirmative Action, N.J.A.C. 10-5-31 et seq.; Public Law 2012 Chapter 25; and N.J.S.A. 10:2-2 Anti-Discrimination requirements. Bidder, at the time of the Bid submission, may not be included on the State Treasurer's or the Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended or Disqualified Bidders as a result of action taken by any State or Federal agency. Submission of a Chapter 271 Political Contribution Disclosure Form and Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran form are required at the time of the Bid submission. Respondents are required by law to submit a list of the names and addresses for all interest holders owning 10% or more of interest in any business entity submitting a proposal (P.L. 1977, c.33, as amended by P.L. 2016, c.43). Bidders shall comply with all requirements of the N.J. Prevailing Wage Act N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.; Bidder shall submit a Prevailing Wage Certification with its bid package. In accordance with The Public Works Contractor Registration Act no Contractor shall bid on any contract for Public Work as defined in N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.26 unless the Contractor is registered pursuant to the Act. No Bidder may withdraw his/her Bid within sixty days after the date of the opening of Bids without the written consent of the North Bergen Public Library. The North Bergen Public Library reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, as well as the right to waive all immaterial informalities in accordance with applicable law, in awarding a contract.
