The scope of work includes the complete renovation and major improvements to the existing North Bergen Public Library. Work throughout include improvements, renovations, upgrades, and modifications to: building systems, HVAC systems; electrical, plumbing, fire sprinkler, and life safety systems; building envelope repairs; casework and fixed furnishings; finishes; signage, and other work, as described in the Contract Documents and/or as may be provided 'By Others'. Contractors shall coordinate their work with work by others as directed by the Owner. All questions concerning the bidding documents, plans and specifications shall be submitted to the North Bergen Public Library's Architect in writing no later than the end of business day Tuesday, March 25, 2025, to allow for the issuance of a response to all Bidders. Questions shall be addressed in writing to the Architect, Milla Architecture Studio, via email at Michael@MillaArch.Studio. A bidder's proposal must be accompanied by a Surety's Consent and either a bid bond or Certified check for not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount of the bid or $20,000.00 maximum whichever is the lesser. Certified checks shall be made payable to the North Bergen Public Library. The said Surety shall be bound to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the Contract Price. The North Bergen Public Library reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, as well as the right to waive all immaterial informalities in accordance with applicable law, in awarding a contract.
