As of June 13, 2025, this solicitation has been awarded. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Background The OAFED serves the Village of Oregon and the Towns of Oregon, Dunn, and Rutland. In 2023, the District responded to 1,759 service calls (1,280 EMS calls and 479 Fire calls) and currently employs 63 personnel, including full-time, part-time, paid on call/paid on premise operational staff, interns, and students. The existing Fire/EMS facility, located in Downtown Oregon, is increasingly inadequate due to community growth, limited space, and infrastructure constraints. This study will address these challenges and provide actionable recommendations The selected firm will be responsible for the following: 1. Community Needs and Requirements Assessment o Analyze accessibility for fire apparatus, traffic patterns, zoning, permits, environmental considerations, and projected community growth, using data and projections to justify requirements. 2. Existing Facility Analysis o Identify limitations, including insufficient vehicle capacity, inadequate meeting/training spaces, limited office and living quarters, and overall storage constraints. 3. Space Planning or Expansion Options o Evaluate feasibility of expanding the current facility. o Provide square footage requirements based on projected usage. o Develop cost estimates for renovation, expansion, or new construction.
