The City of Florence is accepting sealed bids from vendors for the purchase and delivery of chemicals for the surface water and waste water treatment plants. Qualified vendors to deliver Calcium Hydroxide Greer Lime, Calcium Hydroxide Hydrated Lime, Calcium Hypochlorite Drums and Containers, Hydrofluosilic Acid, Fluoride UN1778, Sodium Hypochlorite, Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda), Cationic Polymer, Sulfur Dioxide, and Ferric Sulfate, Chemicals are to be ordered on an "as needed" basis. Question Deadline 01/07/2025 at 5:00 PM ET Questions concerning this invitation to bid should be directed to the City Purchasing Agent, Lynwood F. The City of Florence reserves the right to engage in discussions with any or all responsible bidders who submit bids which appear to be eligible for award, for the purpose of clarification to assure full understanding of and responsiveness to the Invitation to bid requirements herein. Minority Business Owners (minority, woman, and veteran owned businesses) will be afforded full opportunity to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, creed, sex or national origin in consideration for an award. It is the policy of the City that minority, woman, and veteran owned business enterprises (MBE/WBE/VBE) have an opportunity to participate at all levels of contracting in the performance of City contracts to the extent practical and consistent with the efficient performance of the contract. The initial term of the contract resulting from this invitation to bid, shall run for one (1) year. The parties thereafter shall have the option to renew this agreement for four (4) additional one-year terms, one year at a time, but only upon the mutual agreement of both parties. The City also reserves the right to reject any and all bid, including that of the selected Contractor if satisfactory contract negotiations cannot be concluded.
