A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 1095 calendar days after the date of the Notice to Proceed. Question Deadline 02/03/2025 at 4:00 PM ET Questions must be submitted in writing to to Patricia.Firman@Stonybrook.edu The main features of the work shall include, but not be limited to the following: The construction of a new addition for the expansion of the existing Pediatric Emergency Department, inclusive of a new Storage Area and interior modifications to the existing Pediatric Emergency Department area. The new addition will tie into levels 3 and 4 of the existing hospital. The construction of the new addition will require structural reinforcement to the existing level 3 and 4 emergency parking deck and emergency ambulance ramp that is integral to the parking deck and must remain active during construction at all times. The construction of the new addition will require selective demolition of the existing Parking Deck/Emergency Ambulance Ramp structural elements. The Parking Deck and Ambulance Ramp will remain fully operational seven (7) days per week, twenty-four (24) hours a day. The construction is adjacent to the Helipad that receives emergency patients, see policies and procedures throughout the Construction Documents that pertain to the Helipad.
