Site work and new construction of an educational facility in North Attleboro, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a 226,740-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

This project is to build a new school at the current High School site to house the entire high school population in the Town of North Attleborough. The new high school will serve 1025 students in grades from 9-12. The proposed new high school building is a three-story building of 226,740 gsf. The new building will be located to the south of the existing High School. The new building will have the main entrances on the ground floor and three-story classroom wings. Administration, auditorium, cafeteria, kitchen, and gym are on the ground floor and the media center on the second floor. The Main entrance is centralized between the Gym and Auditorium and opening to the dining commons for access to larger gathering space and the drama classroom, for multi-functional use. The academic areas are organized into learning neighborhoods surrounding the active learning heart of the school and opening to exterior learning courtyards. The project is being designed as a highly sustainable building and will be seeking a LEED Gold Certification level. The project will include an all-electric geothermal HVAC system, potential solar arrays, and potential Mass Timber structural elements to enhance sustainability and work towards ZNE-ready status. The building is currently targeting an EUI of 25. The existing High School and Middle School and selective sport fields will remain in operation while the new building is constructed. There will be an early package in the summer of 2026 to construct a new access road off Landry Ave by the fields. The new access off Landry Ave will be used by the contractors only. The plan is to have one contractor gate into the new building area off the new access road. Temporary parking and access road will be required to maintain operation of the existing High School and Middle School. Contractor is to work closely with North Attleborough Public Schools, the High School and the Middle School to keep the disruption of existing High School and Middle School to a minimum during the construction of the new building. Once the new building is constructed and occupancy permit obtained, the school will move into the new building. The existing High School building will be demolished to make way for the new athletic fields, site circulation and parking. The project is targeting receipt of the MSBA Board of Director's approval of the Project Scope and Budget Agreement at their June, 2025 meeting. Town of North Attleborough has targeted approval the project at the Town Council vote in May 2025 and the Town Ballot in June 2025 for the full funding of the project. The early package will be issued in Spring of 2026 to construct the new access road and enabling work during summer of 2026. Final construction documents will be ready in Fall of 2026 for bidding following public bid regulation for CM at Risk regulation. Construction of the new building is expected to start in the fall/winter of 2026. Conceptual Estimated Construction Cost: $220 million Estimated Construction Duration: Thirty-six (36) months for all phases of the work including site enabling, new construction, building demolition and sitework.
