The City of Huntington West Virginia is soliciting bids from licensed contractors for roof replacement work at the Municipal Garage & Public Works Complex Roof Replacement located at 800 Virginia Avenue Huntington West Virginia. This is a multi-leveled roof and the lower level shall be replaced. All bids shall be based on best practices for the design and layout of the building and will need to cover the replacement of the sections of the roof that will be designated at the mandatory site visit. Exact measurements of the roof are to be taken by the vendors attending the mandatory site visit. The specifications for the replacement may be found below, however adjustments may be made during the site visit and at the recommendations of the contractors. Remove and dispose of wall coping c. Mechanically fasten an 1/8" per foot tapered ISO insulation system to promote drainage to the roof drains d. Install an adhered 60 mil EPDM single ply roof membrane system e. Flash all penetrations with 60mil EPDM membrane f. Fabricate and install new wall mounted counter flashing from 24-gauge galvanized metal to be installed behind the existing coping g. Fabricate and install new curb mounted counter flashing from 24-gauge galvanized metal h. Fabricate and install new through wall drainage scuppers made from 24-gauge galvanized metal i.
